Conductivity and pH Titration
By using a buret a basic solution (e.g. caustic soda) can be added in small portions to an acid (e.g. phosphoric acid). During the titration the pH value and the temperature of the solution can be registered. During the titration the pH value increases first gradually with the amount of added caustic soda solution. Near the equivalence point the pH value of the solution increases rapidly. Also the temperature of the solution increases due to libarated neutralization heat of the acid base reaction.
