  • Simple dehydration specimen, unstained
  • Animal and plant material in general, simple staining with safranin
  • Thin sections of plant tissue, double staining with astra-blue and safranin (wood-cellulose stain)
  • Histology thin sections from zoology and botany, double staining with haematoxylin and eosin stain (nucleus-plasma stain)
  • Preparation of algae, moss, and plankton.  Alizarin viridian and chrome alum stain, embedding in glycerine gelatine
  • Bacterial preparation, Ziehl-Neelsen staining with carbol fuchsin
