An alternating current circuit that consists of a coil and a
capacitor switched in series to each other is called a series
resonant circuit. As is known from previous experiments, there is a
phase shift between the current and the voltage at a coil or a
capacitor in an alternating current circuit. In this experiment,
the phase shift between the current and voltage in a series
resonant circuit is to be examined and the resonance frequency fr,
which is the frequency at which the phase shift is exactly 0°, is
to be determined.
