A capacitor fitted in a direct current circuit has an infinitely
large ohmic resistance so no current is measurable.
In an alternating current circuit, however, a capacitor behaves
completely differently. The resistance of it is finite and a
current can be measured.
The behaviour of a capacitor in an alternating current circuit
is to be examined in this experiment.
