A coil in an alternating current circuit

Principle

A coil in a direct current circuit has an ohmic resistance because of the wire. In an alternating current circuit, however, it has an additional resistance alongside the ohmic resistance, the so-called inductive reactance. This experiment deals with what inductive reactance is.
