Influence of temperature on the germination and growth of cress

Product No: P0989600

Eight petri dishes are filled nearly to the brim with finely sieved, moist garden soil and 50 cress seeds are planted in each one. They are then placed inside a device which keeps each of the samples at a different temperature, whereby they are evenly distributed between cold and warm regions. After 5 days it will be clear that the optimum temperature is between 20-25°C. Where the temperature exceeds 30°C, germination is considerably delayed and the same is true if the temperature is below 15°C.
