Bell gasometer,1000 ml

For determining gas volumes and storinggases. The apparatus consists of a graduated cylindrical bell with the largeopen end down. The upper end is closedby a rubber stopper which has tworight-angled glass tubes with one-waytaps inserted in it. The bell stands ina flat base cylinder. Water is used assealing liquid. The apparatus is therefore not suitable for gases which reactwith water, or are water soluble.
