Direction of the field lines of a bar magnet

Principle

The pupils should learn that one can make a magnetic field visible with directional lines whose direction is determinded by starting the lines from the north pole. The pupils should obtain an impression of the spatial organization of the magnetic field.

Task

1. To produce a picture of the magnetic field of  bar magnet, in one plane, using a compass.
2. To obtain an impression of the spatial arrangement of the magnetic field using a magnetic sensor.
