The simple electrical circuit

Principle

The students should first perceive that an electric current can only flow in a closed circuit. To achieve this, the simplest possible circuit is used, in which there is neither a series or parallel connection, and which is therefore called the simple circuit.

The students should memorise which components or elements were used, their functions and the symbols to represent them.

Task

What does a "simple circuit" consist of?

Set up an electric circuit including a filament lamp, then familiarise yourself with the function of each of the individual components and how they work together.
