How does an equalizer function? Equalizers are used in sound
engineering to improve tone in stereo systems and in audio computer
software, for example. Their basic effect is to weaken certain
frequencies of a signal and so to optimize the acoustic contour as
a whole. Such a filter, called an RC-low-pass, is to be examined in
this experiment.
