To investigate vibrations of strings and how the pitch of a tune depends on length, tension and thickness of the string.

Equipment and technical data

2 strings on a resonator, tensed over 2 fixed bridges; on mobile bridge under each string; tune pitch scale, 3 octaverange, with indication of the relation values of the corresponding string lengths; resonator (mm) 750×110×90.

Standard accessories: tensing key, 2 tuning bridges, strings or monochord, 2 pieces steel strings with eyelets; l = 800 mm; d = 0.3 mm or d = 0.5 mm
