Principle

The density of a substance corresponds to the mass of a cubic centimetre of this substance. The density is thus defined as mass : volume (g/cm3). The density of irregular objects can be established by determining the mass by weighing it and the volume by the displacement of water. The density of the solids lead, iron, copper, brass, zinc, aluminium, hard rubber and wood are determined.

Benefits

  • Experiment guides are very easy to understand, especially for younger students
  • Associated competences are directly linked to the experiments
  • Curriculum compatible
  • Fit for the future: implementation of tablets possible
