Principle

The different bones of the human body are subject to different stresses and strains. Due to their structural differences you can distinguish between flat bones and long bones. They can also be distinguished by the process of bone formation, the ossification: Flat bones are formed from connective tissue, whereas long bones develop out of cartilage tissue.

 Benefits

  • Experiment is part of a complete solution set with a total of 44 experiments for botany, reproduction, soil, food and digestion, senses, physiology.
  • With student worksheet, appropriate for all class levels.
  • With detailed instructor information.
  • Optimized for tight schedules, i.e. minimum preparation time required.
  • Biology solution set specifically designed to include all required accessories.

Tasks

In a model experiment investigate the stability differences of two different structures of bones, flat bone and long bone.
