Principle
In this experiment, pupils should be introduced to momentum
as a conserved physical quantity, and they should gain a first
impression of the usefulness of this physical quantity for making
calculations. It should also be suggested that momentum, like
velocity, has a direction (it is a vector quantity), in contrast to
scalar quantities like mass.
Benefits
- Especially accurate and reproducible results due to the use of
light barriers and the Timer 2-1
- Timer 2-1 can be used for versatile applications, for example
for teacher experiments due to ist great display
- Very modern student experiments which fully cover the
curriculum subject "Motion"
