Principle
Turning a coil in the magnetic field generates voltage on its ends (induced voltage). After each half rotation of the coil the voltage and electric current change their signs. A light bulb can be operated with the electrical energy generated.
Benefits
- Demonstrative experiment due to large instruments
- Easy and sturdy setup
- Display of measuring range, kind of current and unit also on the back side
Tasks
- Observe the voltage depending on the rotational direction and velocity of the generator.
- Observe the current and the brightness of the light bulb depending on the rotational direction and velocity of the generator.
