Principle

A main constituent of fertilizers is nitrogen. Nitrogen is supplied to the soil in form of ammonia salts. In this experiment students produce ammonia fertilizer. Therfore the let react ammonia solution with sulfuric acid and after evaporation of the solvent ammonium sulfate is obtained.

Learning objectives

  • Composition and preparation of ammonia fertilizer

Benefits

  • Easy teaching and efficient learning by using interactive experimentation PHYWE-Software
  • Experiment is part of a complete solution set with experiments for all Inorganic Chemistry matched with international curriculum: all topics are covered
