Cobra SMARTsense Dual Photogate - Double light barrier 0 ... ∞ s (Bluetooth + USB)

Article no: 12945-00

Function and Applications

Use the Cobra SMARTsense Dual Photogate to measure time, velocity and acceleration or to count events in dynamic processes using four measuring modes, and investigate the basic concepts of motion with your pupils in a child’s play way.

With sampling rates of up to 1 kHz and a resolution of 1 µs (time measurement mode), the digital photogate sensor can be used flexibly in experiments ranging from free fall to track and pendulum experiments. Thanks to the integrated display, it can also be used stand-alone without a digital end device.

Connect the Cobra SMARTsense Dual Photogate wirelessly via Bluetooth or wired via USB to the free and award-winning measuring software measureAPP – available for iOS, Android, Windows and Linux.

Switch on. Connect. Start measuring.

Benefits

  • Get started straight away with any Bluetooth-enabled device and the free measureAPP.
  • Intelligent and efficient power management for up to 50 teaching hours on one battery charge.
  • Up to 1,000 readings per second guarantee precision.
  • Thanks to the integrated display, measured values can be read directly on the photogate.
  • Two sensor modules can be easily connected via the RJ-45 interface.
  • Multiple threaded sockets allow secure and precise experimental setups.
  • A laser detection LED indicates correct alignment of a laser pointer and interruption of the laser beam.
  • A grating belt can be fed through the grating input for continuous data acquisition, e.g. in free-fall experiments.
  • An optional extension set with holders and incremental wheel (12945-01) is available separately.
  • Ideal for use with the Cobra DigiCart Expert Set (12940-88).
