Principle With the help of an electric motor, which first works as a motor
and then as a generator, the energy conversions from electrical
energy to mechanical (potential) energy and vice versa are
qualitatively demonstrated and quantitatively measured.
Subsequently, the efficiency of the respective energy conversion
will be determined. Benefits - Part of a system solution - easily expandable for further
experiments

Learning objectives - Students learn how an electric motor functions as an energy
converter between electrical and mechanical energy.
- The students examine the efficiency of the electric motor in
