Measurement of voltage with Cobra SMARTsense

Article no: P1371769

Principle

After the students have become acquainted with the term voltage and its unit, they should learn how a voltmeter must be connected and what must be taken into consideration when making a measurement. In addition, they should recognise that an electrical instrument or appliance must be supplied with its rated voltage for proper operation.

Benefits

  • No additional cable connections between the building blocks needed - clear arragned and quick setup
  • Contact saftey due to puzzle blocks system
  • Corrosion-free gold plated contacts
  • Doubled earning sucess: Electric circuit diagram on top, real components can be seen unterside
  • Future-oriented teaching: Integration of sensors (Cobra SMARTsense) into digital science education

Tasks

How is electric voltage measured?

Set up a simple circuit including a filament lamp and familiarise yourself with the way electric voltage is measured.
