DNA-etraction from liver

Function and Applications

With this simple experiment on the subject of cell biology and genetics, you can isolate chromosomal DNA from a liver in one school lesson without long preparation time. After disruption of the cells, DNA is precipitated and thus visible. 5 groups of students can work in parallel, sufficient for 15 individual experiments.

Contents: 2x 40 ml cell lysis buffer (10-fold conc.), 500 mg protease mixture, 5 funnels, 15 flat-bottomed tubes, 15 paper filters, 15 wooden sticks, detailed experiment instructions.

Note: For this article a consumption within 12 months is recommended
