Finding the density of liquids using a densimeter

Article no: P1002200

Principle

The students should use the knowledge gained from the experiments "Buoyancy" and "Archimedes' principle" to be able to construct a hydrometer.

The correlation between density and immersion depth is to be determined in a preliminary experiment, the results of which should be expressed as a "the - the " statement by the students.

In the experiment itself the scale of the hydrometer will be calculated and then the density of various liquids will be determined.

Benefits

  • Real stand material for an esecially stable and safe setup
  • Student-suitable experiment descriptions with reports available
