Archimedes' principle

Article no: P1002000

Principle

The students should determine the weight (force) of an object in air and then in water. From the difference they should calculate the buoyancy Fb

In a second experiment, the students should determine the mass of the water displaced by the immersed object; from this the weight (force) should be calculated and compared with the buoyancy.

Benefits

  • Student-suitable experiment descriptions with reports available
