Reflection of light

Article no: P1063600

Principle

Reflection of light and, in particular, the laws of reflection are among the most fundamental principles in optics.
For this reason, the students will be made themselves thoroughly familiar with the reflection phenomenon and will be led through a qualitative estimation of the reflection's angular dependency in this experiment. An exact investigation of the angle of incidence and the angle of reflection is not intended here. In any case, the students should practice meticulous experimentation and exact observation.

Benefits

  • Multifunctional light box - All-in-one: Can be used for geometric optics on the table, colour mixing and on an optical bench
  • Extension with others sets at anytime, no additional light sources needed, recognition value for students

Tasks

What is reflection of light? In this experiment we will investigate what happens when opaque bodies with different types of surfaces are iluminated with a beam of light from a lamp.
