Principle

The understanding of the simple particle model is an essential component for the chemical lessions in general chemistry. In this experiment students learn about dissolving solids in suitable solvents and the dissolution process.  The experiment shows that in the dissolution process solvent particles force their way between the solid particles and dissolve them out of their (lattice) structure
