Melting-point lowering and boiling-point elevation

Article no: P7152400

Principle

Solutions have a higher boiling point and a lower melting point than the pure solvent. The shift of the melting and boiling point is based on the interaction between solvent particles and the dissolved substance. In this experiment the melting and boiling point of different aqueous salt solutions is determined by measuring the boiling and melting temperature of this solutions.
