Perception of temperature

Principle

Temperature stimuli are perceived by free nerve endings, cold stimuli also by the so-called Krause corpuscles, heat stimuli by the Ruffini corpuscles. The receptors respond to changes in temperature. The heat points measure the skin temperature in a range of 30 to 48°C, above 44°C they report pain.
