Principle

Human blood is observed under a microscope using a prepared specimen. The aim is to identify the different phases of cell division and to practise using the microscope safely.

  • Examine a blood smear under a microscope

  • Draw a diagram of the blood components, particularly with regard to their number, distribution, shape and size
