Principle

On both a single-stage gear and belt drive, the students should determine the sense of rotation of the driven and the driving wheel as well as the drive ratios. The students should compare the ratios obtained experimentally with the ratios of the number of teeth of the gears and with the ratios of the wheel diameters of the belt drive.
