Function and Applications
Investigate the basics of renewable energies through a series of experiments ranging from the operation of a water wheel to the Peltier effect. With our set, you can teach learners the significance of scientific phenomena, supported by the intuitive Cobra SMARTsense sensors, which enable real-time measurements.
The basic equipment set enables 17 student experiments to be carried out on the following topics:
- Energy conversion
- Heat energy from solar energy
- Ambient Heat
In several experiments, the digital measurement sensors Cobra SMARTsense Voltage, Cobra SMARTsense Current and Cobra SMARTsense Temperature are used in combination with the award-winning and free measureAPP.
Benefits
- Covers major interdisciplinary and key technologies
- Complete equipment set: Minimal preparation time and easy realisation of the experiments thanks to the digital experiment descriptions included as a QR code.
- Coordinated with the educational plans: All subject areas covered.
- Perfectly tailored to digital science lessons using digital devices.
- THE ideal combination of classic experiments (practical skills) and digital measurement recording (media skills).
- Individual lesson planning possible: you decide which measuring device to use (classic or digital).
- Faster & greater learning success: the use of digital devices increases identification and thus motivates learners.
Technical Specification
The equipment set consists of a storage box and contains all the basic components and Cobra SMARTsense sensors required to carry out the experiments. The sturdy, stackable box is equipped with a custom-fit foam insert that protects the components and enables a quick check for completeness.
The following Cobra SMARTsense sensors are included:
- Cobra SMARTsense Voltage: Measurement range: +/- 30 V, resolution: 0.02 V, sampling rate: up
to 10 kHz (Bluetooth and USB)
• Cobra SMARTsense Current: Measuring range: +/- 1 A, resolution: 0.5 mA, sampling rate: 10 kHz
(Bluetooth and USB) - Cobra SMARTsense Temperature: Measuring range -40 ... 125 °C, resolution 0.01 °C, sampling rate 10 Hz
