Principle

This experiment confirms the law of conservation of mass by the precipitation of calcium carbonate in the vessel according to Landolt. For this experiment two solutions with the starting material  are filled separately into two limbs of a vessel.  Afer that the vessel is sealed and weighed. To confirm the law of conservation ot mass both solutions are mixed together and a precipitation reaction can be observed. By weighing the vessel again, students realize that there is no change in the mass.
