Investigate the basics of radioactivity through a series of experiments ranging from background radiation to the behaviour of gamma rays in a magnetic field. With our set, you can teach learners the significance of physical phenomena, supported by the intuitive Cobra SMARTsense sensors, which enable real-time measurements.
The basic equipment set enables 11 student experiments to be carried out on the following topics:

Technical Specification
The equipment set consists of a storage box and contains all the basic components and Cobra SMARTsense sensors required to carry out the experiments. The sturdy, stackable box is equipped with a custom-fit foam insert that protects the components and enables a quick check for completeness.

For the four experiments “Range and shielding of alpha radiation”, “Deflection of beta radiation in a magnetic field”, “Behaviour of gamma radiation in a magnetic field”, and “Backscattering of beta radiation”, a beta source is required. This and further necessary items are included in the accessories.
