Principle

A (human) life on earth would not be possible without solar radiation. Solar radiation provides heat and light on earth, but also the oxygen necessary for life. However, solar radiation is also responsible for the immediate energy supply. With the help of solar cells, (sun)light can be converted into electrical energy and used, for example, to power electric vehicles.

In this experiment, electrical energy is generated with the help of a solar cell and measured with a multimeter. To show the importance of sunlight, sunlight is converted into mechanical energy in this experiment. A motor connected to a solar cell sets an object in motion.
