Function and Applications

Use the Cobra SMARTsense Dual Photogate to measure time, velocity and acceleration or to count events in dynamic processes using four measuring modes, and investigate the basic concepts of motion with your pupils in a child’s play way.

With sampling rates of up to 1 kHz and a resolution of 1 µs (time measurement mode), the digital photogate sensor can be used flexibly in experiments ranging from free fall to track and pendulum experiments. Thanks to the integrated display, it can also be used stand-alone without a digital end device.

Connect the Cobra SMARTsense Dual Photogate wirelessly via Bluetooth or wired via USB to the free and award-winning measuring software measureAPP – available for iOS, Android, Windows and Linux.
