Principle

Indicators are dyes that indicate by a color change the presence of acids. A large number of vegetable colorants, which act as indicators, can be found. In this experiment students examine the effect of different acids on different natural substances (for example flower pigments).

Learning objectives

  •  Reaction of pH indicator and acids

Benefits

  • Easy teaching and efficient learning by using interactive experimentation PHYWE-Software
  • Experiment is part of a complete solution set with experiments for the topic acids, alkalis and salts matched with international curriculum: all topics are covered
