Principle

If plants have poorly developed roots, or as cut flowers, no roots, they are not able to take up enough water and nutrients and therefore wilt. Even with an adequate water supply after a while they start to wilt. Without sufficiently developed roots, or no roots, the plant is not able to take up sufficiently water and nutrients. The main tasks of roots are the absorption of water, the absorption of inorganic nutrients and the anchoring of the plant in the ground.

Benefits

  • Experiment is part of a complete solution set with a total of 44 experiments for botany, reproduction, soil, food and digestion, senses, physiology.

  • With student worksheet, appropriate for all class levels.

  • With detailed instructor information.

  • Optimized for tight schedules, i.e. minimum preparation time required.

  • Biology solution set specifically designed to include all required accessories

Tasks

Compare a plant with roots to one without roots to learn how plants absorb water.
