The behaviour of a solar cell is investigated at different illumination levels. The illumination can be easily changed by the distance to the lamp and the load resistance is changed at the potentiometer. While the open-circuit voltage of a solar cell is independent of the illumination intensity over a wide range, the short-circuit current intensity is proportional to the illumination intensity.
