Principle

Wind turbines convert the energy contained in the flow of wind into electrical energy. Wind causes the rotors to turn, which in turn drive a generator. This generator, located in the rotor canopy, converts the mechanical energy into electrical energy. The purpose of this experiment is to investigate how a wind turbine behaves at different wind speeds and loads and how such changes affect the electrical output.

Benefits

  • Part of a system solution - easily expandable for further experiments
  • Simple teaching by using the demo board physics
  • Clear test execution by using ADM3 multimeters
