Function and Applications

The XR 4.0 expert unit is a microprocessor-controlled X-ray system with quick-change X-ray tube technology, specifically designed for use in schools, universities, vocational training, and laboratories. As a fully shielded educational device in accordance with the requirements of the German Federal Office for Radiation Protection, it enables the safe performance of demonstration and laboratory experiments with X-rays. The rapid exchange of X-ray tubes with different anode materials (Fe, Cu, Mo, W) allows a wide range of experiments, which can be controlled and monitored directly on the device or via PC.

Benefits

  • Educational and fully shielded device in accordance with BfS regulations
  • Quick-change X-ray tube technology for experiments with various anode materials
  • Four visible X-ray tubes during operation (Fe, Cu, Mo, W) can be used (optional accessories)
  • High level of safety due to two independent safety circuits for door monitoring
  • Microprocessor-controlled system for reproducible settings
  • Operation directly on the device via TFT color display or PC control via USB 2.0
